Motto

The motto of the Teachers Association of Cameroon shall be Knowledge, Diligence, Justice.

CONSTITUTION OF THE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION OF CAMEROON (TAC)

The aims of the Teachers Association of Cameroon shall be as follows:

  • To unite the teachers of the Anglophone sub-system of education (see Section 15, Articles 1 & 2, and Sections 16 and 17 of Education Law No 98/004 of 14 April 1998) in particular while also taking part in uniting Cameroon teachers as a whole.
  • To ensure that the duties and obligations teachers owe the nation are well executed, so that they should merit their rights and privileges that the nation owes them, which rights and privileges TAC shall pursue on their behalf.
  • To offer teachers academic and professional (cognitive, psychomotor and affective) assistance that will help in capacity building.
  • To write projects and work with existing NGOs and other institutions to nurture interest, empower and build capacity in teachers for the new technologies.
  • To work towards improving the standards and ethics of the teaching profession, while at the same time fighting vigorously against unprofessional attitudes that cast a slur on the integrity of the profession.
  • To write projects and take part in conferences – local, national international etc, working in collaboration with other organizations or bodies.
  • To participate in curriculum development – the drafting of syllabuses, schemes of work and other aids related to educational programmes and trends, in conformity with state and standard policies and regulations.
  • To work in earnest to ensure that the classroom and the teaching of the nation’s children remains a top-notch priority.
